Bobby Lashley vs. The Miz WWE title match set for Raw next week

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was all about explaining the fact that The Miz is WWE champion only because Bobby Lashley helped set him up for it. As was made clear at Elimination Chamber, that came about when Miz cut a deal with The Hurt Business to give Lashley a shot at the title right after Miz won it.

Naturally, Miz tried to weasel his way out of it. Then, Braun Strowman showed up and demanded a title shot of his own. The compromise was Strowman vs. Lashley as the main event of Raw, and if Braun won he would get added to the Miz vs. Lashley title match scheduled for next week’s episode of Raw.

He did not win.

In fact, Lashley kicked out of the running powerslam before a Spear and pinning Braun clean in the middle of the ring. This was one hell of a way to continue heating up Lashley in advance of his title shot next week.
