Edge set to appear on NXT, SmackDown this week

WWE has Edge working damn near every night this week.

He won the men’s Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday night, went to Raw on Monday night to talk to Drew McIntyre about maybe challenging him for the WWE championship at WrestleMania 37, will appear on NXT TV on Wednesday night for reasons unknown, and then will appear on SmackDown on Friday night, likely to have a chat with Roman Reigns about maybe challenging him for the Universal championship at WrestleMania 37.

He teased the NXT appearance:

Meanwhile, WWE simply announced he will be at SmackDown:

Rumors and reports indicate the plan is for Edge to work with Reigns at WrestleMania, which would seem to indicate he’ll be moving over to the blue brand for the foreseeable future. WWE could get as much out of his decision as possible and have him appear on every show to maximize his exposure in the lead up to the biggest show of the year.

That’s what they’re doing for this week, at least.
