WWE reminds us Braun Strowman was once in a 7 man Elimination Chamber match

Seems pertinent seeing as he’s currently mad he’s not in Raw’s 6 man Elimination Chamber match.

On Monday (Feb. 15), Braun Strowman returned to Raw for only the second time this year. As a former Universal champion, he wanted answers as to why he isn’t in the red brand’s Elimination Chamber match for the WWE title. Save Miz, who opted out, every other active former World champ is in it.

It’s probably set-up for a WrestleMania 37 match where Shane McMahon bumps like crazy for the Monster Among Men (and maybe crushes Kevin Owens’ dreams by jumping off Raymond James Stadium’s signature pirate ship before KO gets a chance).

But it is possible to get Strowman into the match on Sun., Feb. 21 at Elimination Chamber. We know because Braun was already the star of a seven man Chamber back in 2018. In that year’s Universal title #1 contender match, he eliminated a record five men - Miz, Elias, John Cena, Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins - before being pinned by Roman Reigns.

Just in case you didn’t remember there’s a precedent for putting more than six people in the Chamber (the match simply starts with three wrestlers in the ring instead of two), WWE posted this video today to remind you.

With plans for this year’s Elimination Chamber still allegedly up in the air, could Braun get a chance to break his own record this weekend?
