WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day results - González & Kai win the first Women’s Dusty Cup

The finals of the first ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic opened the show at TakeOver: Vengeance Day on Sun., Feb. 14. With a spot in the history books, and a WWE Women’s Tag Team championship shot on the line, the power of Raquel González gave her and teammate Dakota Kai an early advantage.

Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon are the newer of the two teams in the finals, but it was their teamwork which allowed them to put Kai in peril and keep the big Texan out of the match.

The babyfaces targeted Dakota’s leg, but weren’t able to put the Kiwi away. When she sent Moon into the turnbuckles and got free for a tag, they were in trouble. Blackheart got the worst of it when González caught her rana off the apron and powerbombed her into the Capital Wrestling Center barricade.

A malfunction at the junction created an opening for Moon to hit her Eclipse finisher on Raquel, but a distraction by Kai saved her partner. Shotzi recovered and hit big moves, including Sliced Bread on González and a suicide dive on Kai.

Blackheart & Moon delivered an array of tandem moves on both their opponents, but couldn’t keep Raquel down.

The end eventually came after González threw Moon off the ramp...

...slammed Kai onto Blackheart and chokeslammed her to hell.

Look out, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler. No one’s been able to stop Raquel González, and I don’t like your chances, either.
