Braun Strowman is recovering from a blood infection

Braun Strowman was suspended from WWE television in December, in what was apparently a cover story for a legitimate injury. He returned on the Jan. 29 episode of SmackDown, and was an entrant in the 2021 men’s Royal Rumble match just two days later. However, he’s been off television since then.

Strowman explained on his Instagram that he’s been sick with a blood infection:

“I got really sick over the weekend. I got an infection that got into my blood system, had to get put on antibiotics for that. It was awful. I’ve dropped like 15 pounds in five days. Couldn’t eat, and stuff like that. But it looks like I’ve gained 50 pounds of water weight. All my joints and everything are all swollen and inflamed. But the antibiotics are working, I’m feeling better...and I’ll be back to seeing you guys very soon.”

It sounds like a scary situation, but thankfully the Monster Among Men says that his recovery is going well and he’ll be back on our television screens soon.
