Liv Morgan earns a Raw women’s title shot

@WWE

In the spirit of competition, and because WWE just refuses to give any kind of stakes to the elimination matches at Survivor Series, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville decided to have the five members of the women’s team representing Monday Night Raw square off in a Fatal 5-Way on this week’s show. The winner would be awarded a future title shot.

That meant Bianca Belair, Carmella, Queen Zelina Vega, Rhea Ripley, and Liv Morgan were all given a chance to earn a match against Becky Lynch before ever even representing the brand at the pay-per-view in just two weeks in Brooklyn.

The match itself saw Carmella and Vega teaming up until each of them went for a pinfall, because there could be only one winner. Meanwhile, Lynch was on commentary touting everyone in the match as a history making except Liv Morgan, who she made sure to say had zero chance of winning.

Elsewhere, Belair looked like she was about to score the win when Doudrop, who she had been arguing with earlier backstage, showed up to drag her out of the ring.

No disqualifications, remember?

That gave Carmella the opportunity to rush in and try to pin Vega off Belair’s KOD. But it was Morgan sneaking in and rolling Carmella up.

So it’s on … eventually. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan.

How about that?
