Here’s how round five of the 2021 WWE Draft played out:
- Raw: SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch
- SmackDown: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos
- Raw: Bobby Lashley
- SmackDown: Sasha Banks
With Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair moving over to Friday Night SmackDown, it only makes sense that the SmackDown women’s champion would make the jump over to Monday Night Raw. Sure enough, Becky Lynch was the first draft pick of night two.
In a surprise, The Usos were immediately drafted second. It’s no surprise they’re sticking on the blue brand, it’s just strange the story beat they pushed on SmackDown last week got absolutely zero play on this show before a decision was made.
Typical for the red brand, I suppose.
Rounding out the round, Lashley — notably not announced with The Hurt Business and/or MVP — will stick with the brand he’s been running while “The Boss” will remain with SmackDown.
