WWE changes its programming opposite AEW Rampage on Oct. 29

WWE.com

WWE SmackDown is back on cable tomorrow night (Oct. 29) thanks to the FOX network airing Game 3 of the World Series between the Atlanta Braves and a bunch of cheaters. If watching half naked athletes rolling around in their underwear tickles your fancy more than baseball, then you’ll have to tune in to FS1 at 8 pm ET to catch SmackDown.

When SmackDown aired on FS1 two weeks ago, WWE decided to add 30 minutes to the runtime of the show, load up that extra time with the biggest stars on the roster (Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns, Sasha Banks) and directly compete against AEW Rampage. That decision didn’t exactly work out how WWE envisioned.

Instead of pursuing that route again for this week back on cable, WWE originally planned to compete against Rampage by airing an episode of Talking Smack on FS1 as soon as SmackDown ends at 10 pm ET.

What do you know, those plans have changed.

WWE announced tonight that Talking Smack will now be replaced with an encore of SmackDown at 10 pm ET. And then there will be another encore of SmackDown airing right after that initial encore ends.

It’s kind of fitting that WWE has yet to advertise a single segment for tomorrow night’s SmackDown, yet they have announced two encores for the show. Maybe let us know what’s on the show next time, pretty please?

Are you more interested in watching an encore of SmackDown at 10 pm ET tomorrow night instead of Talking Smack?
