Halloween Havoc is a treat for NXT’s ratings

Even against the start of the World Series.

It didn’t quite deliver “best of the year” numbers like it did in 2020, but Halloween Havoc was still more treat than trick (not to be confused with Geno’s new favorite wrestler) for NXT on Oct. 26.

According to Showbuzz Daily, this year’s fright fest delivered an audience of 746,000. That’s a 23% increase from the Tuesday before. Ratings among 18 - 49 year olds rose to .18, a 28.5% jump from Oct. 19. Those are the second and third best numbers, respectively, since the brand’s 2.0 revamp.

Competition was stiff. NBA games finished first among cable originals on the night, and Game 1 of baseball’s World Series was watched by almost 11 million on FOX. NXT was still able to finish 11th on cable. WWE’s third brand could run into MLB competition again next Tuesday; it depends on whether or not the Series reaches Game 6.

We’ll see what happens. Until then, here’s a look at NXT’s viewership and 18 - 49 year old demo rating since they moved to Tuesdays after WrestleMania 37.
