WWE Crown Jewel 2021 results: Becky Lynch retains SmackDown women’s championship

While Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair were both drafted to Monday Night Raw weeks ago, there was still a feud to settle over the SmackDown women’s championship. That also includes Sasha Banks, who made her return at Extreme Rules and got herself involved in the action.

So all three got together for a triple threat match at today’s (Thurs., Oct. 21, 2021) Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The first thing you need to be made aware of is that very shortly into the match, Belair did this:

She continues to be nothing short of incredible.

A bit later, Lynch was talking up how she’s the standard and no one will be taking anything away from her, leading to this funny moment when she was caught coming off the top rope:

Silly Bex.

They had a fairly standard triple threat from there, with some fun sequences including more innovation with Belair’s long braid. In the end, despite Belair seemingly having the match won, Lynch used the ropes to help pin Banks on a roll up after Sasha had thrown Bianca to the outside. It was a fantastic finishing sequence that needs to be seen to be appreciated.

All told, they had themselves a fine match.

So the SmackDown women’s champion heads to Raw while the Raw women’s champion heads to SmackDown.
