WWE Crown Jewel 2021 results: Goldberg tried to murder Bobby Lashley

Goldberg was determined to murder Bobby Lashley today (Oct. 21) at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Goldberg has been mad with rage ever since Lashley defeated him at SummerSlam and put his son Gage in the Hurt Lock. Since then, Goldberg has vowed multiple times to kill Lashley in Saudi Arabia. Lashley responded by saying Goldberg is a lunatic and it’s time to retire him for good. The stage was set for murder during their No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere match at Crown Jewel.

Lashley came prepared by pulling a chain out of his pants and wrapping it around his fist as the bell rang to start the match. He pounded away at Goldberg with vicious punches to the skull. The next step in Bob’s plan involved a steel chair, which he used to batter Goldberg’s back. Lashley stepped on Goldberg’s currently injured knee then set up a table in the corner. He took Goldberg out with a chop block and then Pillmanized his knee with a chair.

Goldberg dragged himself up in front of the table, in perfect position for a spear. But the old man dodged out of the way at the last second, and Lashley speared himself through the table.

Goldberg followed up with a spear of his own and then nailed the Jackhammer.

The match could have been over right there, but remember, Goldberg was here for murder.

He tossed Lashley out of the ring and speared him through the barricade. Goldberg screamed at Lashley about death and his son while ramming his head into the commentary table. Then came the murder attempt: he tried to crush Lashley’s skull with the steel ring steps. Luckily, Lashley avoided the death blow. The commentators were surprised and alarmed that Goldberg really tried to murder his opponent.

Lashley backed up towards the entrance ramp, which brought out backup in the form of Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, and kendo sticks. Goldberg easily got rid of those jobbers and caned Lashley with the stick.

Lashley slowly stood up, and Goldberg speared him off the ramp and through a table to the floor below. That was good enough for the pin.

Goldberg wins, but Lashley was still breathing and even walked away while the babyface celebrated.
