After seeing a bit of an uptick in the key demo last week, and with Halloween Havoc a week away, there may have been some optimism about NXT’s television numbers on Oct. 19. Those folks may not have factored in the start of the NBA season and the ongoing baseball playoffs, though.
According to Showbuzz Daily, NXT’s ratings among 18 - 49 year olds last night fell a little less than 7% from the Tuesday before, to .14. The overall audience was also off slightly (4%), coming in at 606,000. It put the show 29th among cable originals on the night, with coverage of live sports dominating the top of the chart. It’s still within the range NXT’s been doing for the past month, and probably a good indication of the audience for the show - at least at this time of year.
Next week is an event show that gave NXT some of its best numbers of 2020... but it’s also Game 1 of the World Series.
We’ll see what happens. Until then, here’s a look at NXT’s viewership and 18 - 49 year old demo rating since they moved to Tuesdays after WrestleMania 37.
