Crown Jewel gets a Kickoff show, and match

Crown Jewel is set to come our way tomorrow (Oct. 21), with nine matches booked for the show from Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. But for WWE, it’s never too late to add more. And on this morning’s edition of The Bump, that’s exactly what they did.

WWE’s latest trip to the KSA now has a pre-show, and that pre-show has a match. Coming out way sometime between 11am ET and the main Crown Jewel show starting at noon, SmackDown Tag champs The Usos will wrestle The Hurt Business’ Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin in a non-title affair.

That should be a heck of a match. But with Alexander & Benjamin set to remain on Raw when the Draft goes into effect on Friday, it doesn’t really feel like it will have ramifications on future storylines. But Survivor Series (“the one time of the year Raw and SmackDown go head-to-head” or whatever) is next up the calendar, so this may factor into that Nov. 21 show in Brooklyn.
