While appearing on Out of Character with Ryan Satin at the start of the week, Becky Lynch said that she still wants a one-on-one match with Ronda Rousey. The Man still thinks it will happen someday, too:
“Yeah, and I do think it will - I do think it will. I think the fact that I’ve had a baby and came back so great, that she’ll probably wanna one up me. She’ll probably try to come back in like three months or something - and then I’ll be right there to punch her right in the face, give her a Rock Bottom, out of here in 20 seconds, Ronda. So long. Good night.”
Her fellow new mom came up when Bex spoke to TMZ later in the week, too. There, the reigning SmackDown Women’s champion offered some counsel... that was still really just trash talk:
“Don’t [come back], cause I’m still on top, Ronda, you won’t like it. That’s my advice.”
Rowdy vs. The Man should have happened at Survivor Series 2018, until a Nia Jax broke Lynch’s face and concussed her during the red vs. blue build. A lot of fans, including the one typing these words, thought the main event of WrestleMania 35 should have been a singles match, too.
We’ll see if Becky’s right and the UFC Hall of Famer is motivated to come back for at least one more big money match. Then she’ll get a chance to prove she was right when she warned Rousey not to.
