NXT’s ratings improved on Oct. 12

WWE.com

NXT’s numbers weren’t particularly impressive last night (Oct. 12), but based on the trend since the switch to 2.0 and competition from the Major League Baseball playoffs, nobody should have expected them to be. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t some good news.

According to Showbuzz Daily, NXT’s ratings improved from the Tuesday before in both the 18 - 49 and 18 - 34 year old demographics. The former rose 15% to .15, while the show’s .09 with the latter range was a 50% improvement. Overall viewership of 632,000 was identical to Oct. 5’s.

The show finished 33rd among cable originals on the night. The Los Angeles Dodgers/San Francisco Giants game that started during NXT’s second hour on USA won the night with 5.145 million viewers and ratings of 1.36 and .91 in the two key demos.

Reason for optimism? Seeing as one of the revamp’s goals is to attract younger audiences, and since baseball won’t be nationally televised every Tuesday after the next few weeks... maybe?

Let us know what you think. And here’s a look at NXT’s viewership and 18 - 49 year old demo rating since they moved to Tuesdays after WrestleMania 37.
