This week’s episode of NXT TV will feature a North American championship matching pitting the current titleholder, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, against Santos Escobar. With the entirety of Hit Row being called up to the main roster by way of being drafted to Friday Night SmackDown recently, it’s reasonable to think this was set up to get the title off Scott to send the crew on their way.
In advance of the big match, WWE shot an angle at the arena with Legado Del Fantasma straight up kidnapping Top Dolla & B-Fab:
That’s one way to get a leg up on your competition!
What’s great about this is WWE legitimately used the word “kidnaps” in the title of the YouTube video they uploaded to promote the match that will, by all accounts, still be taking place despite the crime that has been committed here.
You gotta love the pro wrestling business.
