WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 12

So you think the time is past, the life you lead will always last. Chaotic fusions of your soul down below that rocky knoll, through the clouds an open sky, the wind flows through your watering eyes. The sounds are pitched to draw you on your never-ending journey on the edge of time, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with footage of Hit Row getting jumped by Legado del Fantasma earlier today.

They abduct Top Dolla and B-FAB and Santos Escobar wishes Isaiah “Swerve” Scott good luck in their match tonight.

Thence to the intro video.

Joe Gacy is in the ring talking about safe spaces again, saying he’ll beat Tommaso Ciampa, walking beacon of toxic masculinity and championship privilege and to represent his snowflakes and I just can’t, y’all. I can’t. Joe Gacy is a great wrestler and this is just garbage aimed at telling me exactly what the folks that run the show think of people like me and most of the people in my life and it sucks.

Joe Gacy vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Feeling out, shoulder block, Gacy looking for a sleeper hold, Ciampa reverses to a standing armbar. Joe with forearms to fight out, whip reversed but he clobbers Tom with a forearm smash and follows it with a backbreaker for two! Putting boots to the champ in the corner while the erstwhile Parker Boudreaux stares on.

Ciampa takes advantage of the distraction and puts boots to Gacy in the corner, following it with the running knee! Out and back in, Joe wants a breather, tries to pick Tom’s leg but fails and they end up brawling on the floor. Ciampa smashes his face into the announce table, back inside, roll under, dropkick, stomp to the hand, a clubbing blow to the face!

Off the ropes, Tom with a drop toehold, wrenching Gacy’s head back for overhead elbows! Joe fights back, big Rock Bottom out of the corner, slingshots himself to the apron to follow it up with a senton as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Ciampa is in control, drawing Gacy up and throwing him back inside, corner lariats, jockeying for position, going chop for forearm in the middle of the ring! Pump kick, off the ropes, Tom meets him with a knee, a boot for a rolling elbow and Joe hits a sweet Doctor Bomb... NOT ENOUGH! Off the top, nobody home, Ciampa with underhooks, reversed, jackknife pin for two!

Pump kick, Gacy with a handspring but Tom counters with a basement dropkick! Underhooks...

Tommaso Ciampa wins by pinfall with Fairytale Ending, keeping Halloween Havoc a singles match between himself and Bron Breakker.

Post-match, Harland gets into it with both men but backs off after goozling Gacy.

Toxic Attraction make their entrance.

They get on the mic and talk about how Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne are going to take the tag titles off of Io Shirai and Zoey Stark at Halloween Havoc, and Mandy Rose is going to challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship and they’re gonna make history with gold around all their pretty little waists.

And one more thing, it doesn’t matter what color her hair is, she’s the baddest bitch in the game.

Xyon Quinn makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commecial we get a vignette of somebody dragging a shovel through the woods and talking (with a distorted voice) about burying the past so they can start again.

The video ends with a Halloween Havoc bumper.

Malik Blade vs. Xyon Quinn

Quinn in control after an early flurry, slamming Blade and keeping the pressure up. Malik gets a missile dropkick off, schoolboy for two, but Xyon pops him up with a thrust spinebuster! Lining him up...

Xyon Quinn wins by pinfall with a flying forearm.

Tommaso Ciampa is interviewed backstage.

He says he doesn’t know what to think about Joe Gacy but it doesn’t matter because he’s dialed in on defending his title at Halloween Havoc.

Grizzled Young Veterans roll up and Zack Gibson says they can’t wait to watch him lose the title he fought so hard to regain to a rookie. Bron Breakker rolls up to tell them he’ll fight them right now, but Zack begs off based on the fact that they’re wearing street clothes. Breakker tells Ciampa he’s gonna stick by him until Halloween Havoc because he wants to beat Tom at his best.

Diamond Mine make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott is interviewed backstage.

He says he knows what happened and Hit Row are soldiers and they’re gonna be just fine. He’s fired up to fight Santos Escobar and he’s gonna take the title with him to SmackDown.

Ivy Nile vs. Valentina Feroz

Waistlock, standing switches, Feroz looking for a leg pick, Nile shrugs her off, Valentina with a dropkick into the corner. Off the ropes, crossbody caught, Ivy turns it into a delayed vertical and kips up! Hard whip into the corner, choking her in the turnbuckles, seated senton follows! Upkicks fight back against a leg pick, Feroz with desperate punches but Nile scoops her and slams her!

Leg pick, roll-through, Argentine backbreaker rack after a struggle, squatting in it, Ivy bending her in half...

Ivy Nile wins by submission with an Argentine backbreaker rack.

Post-match, the Diamond Mine assemble in the ring and Malcolm Bivens cuts a promo.

He hypes Ivy Nile up and then the Creed Brothers and finally Roderick Strong. He passes Strong the mic and—

Ikemen Jiro interrupts.

One of the Creeds cuts him off and says he has to earn it and he’s always strapped, so what do you want to do about it? Jiro clocks him with a forearm and runs away as we go to break.

Ikemen Jiro vs. Julius Creed

The match is joined in progress, Jiro in control but Creed chop blockes him and follows it up with a ridiculous delayed gutwrench suplex! Stampeding him into the corner, a Karelin lift follows, another overhead gutwrench, a leg pick spinebuster but the elbow drop misses! Ikemen gets a few forearms in, lariats with the blazer, a discus lariat seals the deal!

Whip reversed, boots up, a slow motion Vader Bomb sends Julius to the floor! Asai Moonsault follows, slingshotting back in but Creed catches him with the cartwheel spinebuster...

Julius Creed wins by pinfall with a falling lariat.

Post-match the Diamond Mine jump Jiro but KUSHIDA makes the save! He cleans house at first but gets cut off and stomped when he stops short of attacking Ivy Nile... END OF HEARTACHE!

Raquel Gonzalez cuts a promo saying she’s gonna spin the wheel and make a deal against Mandy Rose.

Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial we get a new episode of Lashing Out with Lash Legend.

She talks about the WWE Draft and says next year it’s going to be called WWE Squid Games. Her legends of the week are Hit Row and she segues to Tony D’Angelo, saying she has three words for him— forget about it.

Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner vs. Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland

Wagner and Dunne to start, the big man pushing him into the corner and working him over until Pete gets a grip on his wrist and goes to work on it. Von reverses to a straight suplex, off the ropes with a falling headbutt, cover for two! Tags made, O’Reilly looking for a leg pick, Holland fights out and drops a knee on him.

Head and arm triangle reversed into a shoulder armbreaker, overhead belly-to-belly, tag to Dunne. Looking for the Romero Special, he gets it and he and Ridge keep working KOR over at length in the heat segment. Eventually we get tags and Wagner and Holland slap their meats! Shoulder blocks, hossing it up, flying shoulder tackle from Von!

Lariat sends Ridge to the floor, whip reversed and Holland crashes into the steel steps as we go to break.

Back from commercial, Holland is grinding O’Reilly down with trapezius claws in the middle of the ring. Double-teams from the Englishmen, Wagner makes the save, the match breaks down, big back elbow clears the path but nobody’s there for Kyle to tag! Dunne with a stomp to the hands, buzzsaw roundhouse kick gets caught into an ankle lock but he tags out to Holland!

Dumping KOR to the floor, Ridge gets him set up to slam him into the inverted bottom edge of the steps but Wagner makes the save and the tag! Von in hot, elbows clubbing Holland down, big knee, back suplex, O’Reilly takes Dunne out with a knee, corner lariat to Ridge, block the Olympic Slam, Von converts...

Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner win by pinfall with a butterfly slam from Wagner on Ridge Holland.

We get a Chase University vignette.

Today’s lesson is ring awareness, and he plays video of him pushing Odyssey Jones’ leg away from the bottom rope last week. Asked by a student if what he did was illegal, he slaps the dude’s books off his desk and tells him he can go down the hall and join Steve in the dumbass class.

And so we go to break.

Tony D’Angelo gets a promo where he talks about how everybody’s talking about his debut and he mispronounces Malik Blade’s name wrong before complaining about being knocked off of Lash Legend’s show during a scheduling conflict and he walks away, leaving a car rattling like there’s someone locked in the trunk and insinuating that it’s Lash’s producer, Mark.

Grayson Waller gets an inset promo where he talks about being a former Golden Gloves champ and a natural predator.

Duke Hudson vs. Grayson Waller

Waller, despite his boxing bonafides, using his wrestling acumen to grab an armbar until Hudson hits a belly-to-belly suplex on him! Body blows and back elbows in the corner, Grayson with elbows, Duke passes him to the apron, he hangs Hudson’s neck over the ropes, Stunner, pulling him back in, folding press... NOPE!

Jockeying for position...

Duke Hudson wins by pinfall with a side folding press.

Backstage, Legado del Fantasma is hanging out with Santos Escobar while he works out ahead of his NXT North American Championship match.

Escobar promises that the Legado will stay backstage and it’ll be him and Swerve, mano a mano.

Dexter Lumis is backstage with Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta, who make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get a promo from Imperium in their respective native languages.

They complain about these darn kids these days MSK and claim they’re gonna take the tag titles.

Amari Miller & Sarray vs. Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta

Pirotta and Sarray to start, Persia gets her in the corner, quick tag to Hartwell, assisted splash into a side slam, only one! Sarray gets her into the corner, tag to Miller, leg kicks aplenty cut Indi down, cover for a nearfall! Pirotta gets in, beats Miller down, tag, TKO, Hartwell with a diving elbow...

Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta win by pinfall with a diving elbow from Hartwell on Sarray.

Post-match, Persia gets on the mic and talks about gunning for the tag titles with Indi.

This brings Io Shirai out, ranting in Japanese and followed right behind by Zoey Stark. Shirai says she doesn’t like Indi or Persia but Zoey cuts her off and says she knows she doesn’t like her. Io takes offense to being spoken for but then says she doesn’t like Stark anyway.

Enter Toxic Attraction, and we get a brawl! The champs stand tall!

Duke Hudson slinks along backstage and sits down at a kitchen bar next to some girl he’s gonna see later.

Cameron Grimes rolls up to ask him how he does it, and Hudson says it’s not about wins and losses, it’s about likes and swipes, and if Grimes would just shave his chest and trim his beard he’d get a girl in no time. Duke shows him how dating apps work.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a video package for Solo Sikoa.

Commentary hypes up next week’s matches for us.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (c) vs. Santos Escobar (NXT North American Championship)

Swerve cuts Escobar off during his entrance and throws him into the steel steps! Jawing at him, furious, Scott throws him inside and referee Darryl Sharma holds him back while he checks on Santos and we get a bell!

Escobar rolls to the floor for a breather, Isaiah off the ropes... SASUKE SPECIAL! Scott takes the cover off the turnbuckle proper, off the ropes, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for one! Looking for the JML Driver, Santos slips away and trips him up on the apron! Off the ropes, Escobar dives with a suicida that sends Isaiah over the announce desk and us to break!

Back from commercial, Escobar with a standing surfboard and a foot to Scott’s back! Drawing him up, whip across, spinning spinebuster, kick to the spine! Another standing surfboard leads into both men trading hard chops, Santos pummeling him with forearms, off the ropes, go-behind, big lariat and Swerve is rolling!

Escobar with a DDT, no dice, setting Isaiah up top, avalanche Frankensteiner! Frog splash follows... SO CLOSE! Baseball slide sends Scott to the apron, Swerve fires up, fireman’s carry... DEATH VALLEY DRIVER ON THE APRON! 450 splash, knees are up, Santos with a crucifix pin... BUT HE CANNOT KEEP THE KING OF SWERVE DOWN LIKE THAT!

Legado del Fantasma come to the ring, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams even the odds, Phantom Driver blocked, Swerve puts Santos face-first into the exposed turnbuckle, half nelson lift...

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott wins by pinfall with the JML Driver to retain the NXT North American Championship.

Post-match, Hayes drops Swerve with a right hand! He’s cashing in his NXT Breakout Tournament contract!

Carmelo Hayes vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (c) (NXT North American Championship)

Big crossbody... NOPE! Swerve cuts him off with a kick and gets some breathing room! Pump kick connects, Hayes goes up top... HUGE DIVING LEG DROP! IT’S OVER!

Carmelo Hayes wins by pinfall with a diving guillotine leg drop to become your new NXT North American Champion.

Hayes holds the title high.

That’s the show, folks.
