Brock Lesnar is a free agent

You might have noticed that Brock Lesnar wasn’t drafted on night one of the WWE draft during this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. You might think that would mean he would be drafted on night two on Monday Night Raw next week but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

That’s because Lesnar himself announced he’s a free agent:

“Ladies and gentlemen, I have a public announcement I’d like to share. I’d like to thank my good friend Paul Heyman. Because of Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar is a free agent. All because of Paul. And all because of that, Brock Lesnar gets to do whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do.”

The storyline add here is that this has once again set Roman Reigns against Heyman, just weeks before Lesnar is set to challenge Reigns for the Universal championship at Crown Jewel on Oct. 21 in Saudi Arabia. In reality, it’s likely to be the storyline explanation for Lesnar being able to show up on both brands as he pleases.
