WWE announces King of the Ring return, Queen’s Crown tournament

WWE used this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown not just for the first night of this year’s Draft but to announce two major tournaments that will start on next week’s episode before continuing on Monday Night Raw days later.

King of the Ring is back!

Indeed, Xavier Woods’ dreams could very well be coming true soon enough:

As you can see, that’s not all.

WWE also revealed a “Queen’s Crown” tournament will take place, which could very well be the same as the King of the Ring but for the women’s division. No details have been given at this time as far as format or participants for either tournament, but we’ll likely learn more about that in the days to come.

The timing lines up so that Crown Jewel could include matches and/or the finals for either or possibly both tournaments but, again, no details have been released on how this will go at this time.

Get excited anyway!
