The scenes out of Washington, D.C. today (Jan. 6, 2021) are... well, you don’t need a wrestling blogger to tell you.
If you would like to see what some wrestlers think about it, I would point you to these tweets from Mustafa Ali, Mickie James, Titus O’Neil, and Dave Bautista. For a funny, wrestling-themed reaction to the really important issue that Ali & Titus are commenting on which was again brought to light by today’s maddening, depressing events, I also highly recommend this from Malcolm Bivens.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is someone who’s been posting about all that occurred when Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol Building in an effort to silence the American electorate and stop a peaceful transition of power to President-elect Joe Biden. Mick brought up something that does fall under the purview of a wrestling website... a call on WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon to rescind Trump’s membership in the company’s Hall of Fame.
Hey Vince - how about throwing this sorry son of a bitch out of our Hall of Fame?@VinceMcMahon

Obviously, the country has bigger issues right now than who’s in Vince’s club. But I think a lot of the members of the wrestling community who were hurt when Trump told the confederate flag-wielded insurrectionists who terrorized D.C. today that he loves them would really appreciate it if McMahon could get back to Mick on his question.
