Alexa Bliss was a statistical dud in the Royal Rumble

Several top stars in the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match were able to reach the 30+ minute mark. That includes Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Shayna Baszler. Bayley survived right around the 30 minute mark as well. Then there is Naomi, who made her long-awaited return to WWE as the number two entry in the match, and lasted nearly 48 minutes.

Of course, the woman who topped them all was Bianca Belair. For the second year in a row, Belair was the Iron Woman of the Royal Rumble match. She entered the match at entry number three and went on to win it all. According to Michael Cole, her survival time was 56:49. That beats out Natalya’s survival time of 56:01 from 2019 for the longest survival time in the history of the women’s Royal Rumble match, which began in 2018.

On the other side of the coin, Alexa Bliss’ appearance in this match was a total dud; she only lasted about one minute and didn’t eliminate anybody. Bliss was eliminated from the ring by Rhea Ripley while in the middle of doing her spooky transformation.

Nia Jax didn’t fare much better from a time standpoint, though she at least eliminated a few people during her three minute stint in the battle royal. But she suffered the ultimate humiliation of being eliminated by Lana.

The Royal Rumble match always includes performances on both extremes. Were you surprised to see Bliss eliminated so quickly in the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match?
