Braun Strowman returns to WWE television

We haven’t seen Braun Strowman since he was suspended by WWE in storyline after headbutting official Adam Pearce. That was all the way back on the Monday Night Raw after Survivor Series, when they were trying to figure out who would be next in line for a shot at Drew McIntyre and the WWE championship.

Fast forward to this evening, where WWE booked an episode of Friday Night SmackDown centered around previewing the Royal Rumble pay-per-view scheduled for Jan. 31. Various wrestlers from Raw showed up and they all got involved in some kind of physicality, leading to a main event featuring wrestlers from both brands beating each other up.

It all ended with Strowman making his big return to television, stomping his way to the ring to clear it out:

Commentary wondered if this meant he’ll be part of the men’s Royal Rumble match. That’s probably a safe assumption.
