After a scary moment during Raw last night (Sept. 7), WWE reported that Ivar of Viking Raiders was released from the hospital and expected to make a full recovery after being diagnosed with a “cervical injury.”
Earlier this evening, Ivar himself tweeted an update:
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to every single friend, family and fan who has reached out to me. My heart is truly touched from all the love and support. Still figuring it all out but I am working hard to recover and be better than ever! Love you all pic.twitter.com/pAgw1eqjRm

The nerve issue it’s believed Ivar experienced, also known as a “stinger,” is a pretty common injury in contact sports. Even so, since it involves the spinal column, it’s something that needs to be taken seriously. It’s good to hear Ivar, WWE and their medical teams are taking time to figure it all out.
Which is just to say - take your time, big man. And you’re welcome.
