WWE releases AOP

This is a surprise:

The last time these two were seen on television was early this year when they were aligned with Seth Rollins and Murphy. Rezar suffered a bicep injury in March that has kept him on the shelf ever since. Prior to that, they spent some time under the management of Drake Maverick.

Their main roster run wasn’t nearly as strong as what they were able to do down in NXT, where they won the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, had a six month run with the tag team titles, and put together plenty of good to great matches.

They were a duo with a great look and a lot of potential but it went unrealized for the majority of their run on the main roster. Whether that was due to health or creative is up for debate.

Now, they’re free to try to realize that potential elsewhere.
