Demi Burnett doesn’t know why she’s on Raw either

WWE.com

Demi Burnett is well known in the world of reality TV, making her name on various shows in ABC’s Bachelor franchise. But when she first showed up on the Aug. 4 episode of Raw, there were plenty of wrestling fans who had no idea who she was.

A month later, there are people in both camps who aren’t sure why she’s still appearing every Monday night on WWE’s flagship show.

On her podcast Big Demi Energy, Burnett explained she was similarly confused when she first got the call to appear on Raw. But as a lifelong wrestling fan, she didn’t argue.

“It used to be my dream, and it still was at the time, to get to be on WWE at some point in my life. So I was like, ‘WHAT?!’ This is so random. In the middle of quarantine. I’m like, ‘What is happening to me?!’ I was super stoked about it.”

Hopefully, Demi knows what WWE has in mind for her at this point (the internet has been making jokes about her all week being the secret leader of RETRIBUTION, and at this point? I wouldn’t even be mad about it). And if that includes wrestling? She’s willing to put in the work to do her best Stephen Amell/Pat McAfee best.

“Of course! I would love to be a WWE Superstar. I’d definitely have to go through some training, because I’m pretty weak right now. I’m starting to try working out a little bit, just in case anyone wants to offer me a position. But yeah, it was always my dream to be a WWE Superstar. It’s more intense though in real-life than it looks on TV. Whenever you watch it in real-life, you’re like, ‘Wow, these people are putting their bodies THROUGH it.’ I think I could do it though. I think I could have the right attitude and whenever I put my mind to it, I can be very athletic.

“I would definitely give it a shot. I would at least try it. I would never be able to forgive myself if I didn’t take a chance and give it a go.”

I’m never gonna have an issue with somebody putting in the sweat equity to live a dream.

Regardless of whether you’d heard of Burnett a month ago... What do you think?
