Another never-ending feud gets a match at Clash of Champions

WWE.com

Last night’s Raw confirmed a trio of matches for Clash of Champions this Sunday (Sept. 27). Two are continuations of programs that have been going on for months... hey, one out of three ain’t bad, right?

Zelina Vega vs. Asuka on the Kickoff show may not be terribly suspenseful, but at least it’s new.

Joining the Raw Tag title match in the “so this is still going on” category is the United States championship bout between Bobby Lashley and Apollo Crews. If you squint just right, this one is kind of fresh - most of Crews’ matches in the U.S. title scene have been against other members of The Hurt Business (in comparison, Clash will feature the fifth Street Profits vs. Andrade & Angel Garza match in the last couple months). Their encounter at Payback where Lashley won the belt is actually their only singles contest this year. They’ve had numerous tags, though, and Apollo’s tangled with MVP and Shelton Benjamin A LOT.

Given Hurt Business’ role as frequent RETRIBUTION foils, Slapjack, T-Bar & Mace will probably show up to liven up Crews/Lashley. Yay?

Here’s the updated card, now at nine matches:

- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton in an Ambulance match for the WWE championship

- Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns (c) for the Universal title

- Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross for the SmackDown Women’s championship

- Sami Zayn vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy in a Ladder match for the Intercontinental title

- Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott for the WWE Women’s Tag Team championship

- Lucha House Party vs. Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (c) for the SmackDown Tag Team titles

- Bobby Lashley vs. Apollo Crews (c) for the United States championship

- Street Profits (c) vs. Andrade & Angel Garza for the Raw Tag Team titles

- Zelina Vega vs. Asuka (c) for the Raw Women’s championship (Kickoff match)

Can you dig that, suckas?
