Lucha House Party has been bickering back-and-forth for weeks now, clearly headed for a breakup with Kalisto seemingly the guy at odds with Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik. Before all that, though, they’ll challenge Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro for the SmackDown tag team titles at the upcoming Clash of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., Sept. 27, 2020, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Nakamura & Cesaro are coming off a loss to The Street Profits over on Monday Night Raw, for whatever that’s worth. Cesaro did defeat Metalik on Friday Night SmackDown this week.
Hey, every championship must be defended at the “Gold Rush” event.
Here’s the updated Clash of Champions match card:
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton (WWE championship Ambulance match)
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso (Universal championship)
- Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross (SmackDown women’s championship)
- Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. The Riott Squad (Women’s tag team championship)
- Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (c) s. Lucha House Party (SmackDown tag team championship)
