There isn’t even a clear direction for a lot of the brand’s title programs at the moment, but NXT’s officially announced their next WWE Network event will be happening in two-and-a-half weeks.
The company revealed the as-yet-un-subtitled TakeOver for Sun., Oct. 4, coming just one week after the main roster’s Clash of Champions.
BREAKING NEWS: #NXTTakeOver returns on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 7 ET/4 PT only on @WWENetwork!https://t.co/nwCxewJAKb

We’ll presumably see newly crowned NXT & North American champions Finn Bálor & Damian Priest and Women titleholder Io Shirai defending their belts. The tag straps, currently held by Breezango, and Santos Escobar’s Cruiserweight title haven’t made the cut recent TakeOvers, but might this time since there are built-in stakes. Rivalries between Candice LeRae & Tegan Nox and Kushida & Velveteen Dream also could be considered worthy of a PPV spot.
We’ll find out quickly, as Triple H and team only have three shows to set-up their next TakeOver.
Sound like a good idea to you?
