Oh hello, Mandalorian guest star Sasha Banks

This is the way.

The Mandalorian’s Twitter

We’d heard that Sasha Banks, or I guess I should say Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado, had a role in the second season of Disney+’s hit Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian.

The trailer for the Oct. 30-premiering episodes dropped this morning, and sure enough, there’s our Boss at the 49 second mark...

She appears and mysteriously disappears when our eponymous hero (aka Mando, aka Din Djarin) and pop culture sensation “Baby Yoda” (aka The Child) are walking into a port. She’s spotted as the voice over from Mando’s armorer/sensei mentions “an order of sorcerers called Jedi.”

That’s all we know. But if you’re been anywhere for the 40+ years of Star Wars being a thing, you know it’s probably important.

We’ll see how big Sasha’s role is, but this does indicate she won’t be an extra or hidden under make-up for her first big acting gig.
