WWE’s corny taglines are now coming to Raw

WWE has been using corny taglines for most of their recent pay-per-view events, starting with “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at Backlash 2020. Since then, we’ve had gems like “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules”, “You’ll never see it coming” for SummerSlam, and “Clash of Champions: Gold Rush.” Don’t be surprised if we get more of the same coming up in the fall months. Wouldn’t you be extra hyped up for the November card if it was called “Survivor Series: Survivalists”?

But before we can even think that far ahead, it turns out that WWE is now bringing these corny taglines over to Raw. Next week’s (Sept. 14) episode has been dubbed “In Your Face”, and it features the following lineup:

• Drew McIntyre vs. Keith Lee
• Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins (Steel Cage match)
• Asuka (c) vs. Mickie James (Raw women’s championship match)
• Street Profits vs. Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (Champions vs. Champions match)

There’s even a hype video on their YouTube page to really hammer home the point that this episode of Raw will be In Your Face.

Snark aside, Raw is facing stiff competition next week from the NFL, NBA, and NHL, so this likely explains why they are trying to grab your attention and make this episode of Raw feel special.
