According to PW Insider, WWE’s latest round of financial cuts includes Mike Rotunda, better known to some fans as Irwin R. Schyster. Under the IRS gimmick, he famously teamed up with Ted DiBiase as “Money Inc.” to win the WWF tag team titles, and defended those titles at WrestleMania 9 against Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake.
Rotunda has worked behind the scenes as a producer and agent in WWE since 2006. He is also the father of WWE superstars Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas.
Insider was told that Rotunda was furloughed by WWE in April. The circumstances surrounding his release sound very similar to Gerald Brisco, who confirmed his WWE release earlier today.
Update: PW Insider is also reporting that WWE has released producer Sarah Stock, who has previously wrestled under the names Sarita and Dark Angel across promotions such as Impact Wrestling, Stardom, and CMLL. Prior to her release, Stock was furloughed by WWE in April.
