The ratings and viewership data are in for this week’s (Aug. 5) NXT and AEW television shows.
Per Showbuzz Daily, Dynamite netted 901,000 viewers for a .36 rating point in the 18-49 demographic. NXT checked in with 753,000 viewers for a .20 rating point in the same 18-49 demo.
For AEW, this is an increase of about 128,000 viewers from the prior week, and a big spike from last week’s 0.30 demo rating. For NXT, viewership increased by about 46,000 viewers from the prior week, and the demo rating was up from last week’s 0.18.
AEW rose from 6th to 5th place in the demo rating for the night, while NXT moved up from 28th to 27th place.
Both shows saw an increase in the numbers this week. NXT’s modest gains brought them back to the viewership and demo rating levels from back on July 8, when Keith Lee became a double champion.
AEW’s gains were significant in both viewership and the demo rating. This is only the second time that AEW has reached 900,000 viewers during the pandemic era (the very first empty arena show on Mar. 18 was the other instance), and this is their highest demo rating during that time. The Demo God strikes again.
