ORIGINAL: The worked shoot angle between former NXT champ Adam Cole and former Punt, Pass & Kick National champ Pat McAfee has been dormant for a little while.
The storyline got a recap on the July 29 edition of NXT, which covered Cole blowing up at McAfee on his daily radio/streaming sports talk show, the Undisputed ERA leader’s Twitter sort-of apology, and Triple H’s appearance on The Pat McAfee Show to invite Pat to come on USA Network to squash the beef.
It was during the chat with Haitch that McAfee revealed he just so happened to have plans to be in the Orlando area soon, as he and the new Mrs. McAfee were headed there after their Aug. 1 wedding (not to confused with TNA’s infamous #August1Warning).
This morning, the former Indianapolis Colts great tweeted word he would be heading over to NXT. And on a taping day, no less! How convenient...

The original schedule said WWE was taping both tonight’s and next week’s episodes today, so we may not see anything McAfee and Cole do until Aug. 12.
