It was obvious the entire plan WWE had in place for Monday Night Raw this week was to bring back as many viewers as possible. They did this with the return of Shane McMahon, the introduction of “Raw Underground,” a fight club, and the tease of a new faction debuting.
The result was an increase in viewership.
Indeed, this week’s show drew 1.71 million viewers, up from last week’s 1.61 million. The hourly breakdown also showed improvement across the board:
Hour one: 1.71 million
Hour two: 1.82 million
Hour three: 1.61 million
The intrigue here is seeing if the increased interest holds up next week. We don’t have much info on what WWE is planning with Raw Underground, or even who the new faction is. That’s by design, of course.
Stay tuned.
