Our pre-show panel tonight consists of Charly Caruso, Booker T, Jerry “the King” Lawler, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, and Peter Rosenberg, and pre-show business ensues as they move through the card match by match discussing it. R-Truth comes out at one point thinking they’re doing Raw Talk but he’s too early.
The Iconics cut a promo during their entrance trying to warn Liv Morgan that Ruby Riott is a fraud.
Iconic Duo (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce) vs. Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott)
Kay and Riott to start, Ruby ducks a kick and clears the apron before lighting Billie up with punches. Morgan in, Kay cuts her off, tag to Royce, double teams but Riott makes the save. Chasing Peyton around the ring and Billie drops her with Shades of Kay! Back inside, choking Ruby over the ropes, quick tags, continuing to work her over at length.
Iconics try to convince Liv that Ruby blasted her off the apron at one point as the double-teams continue, but Morgan trusts Riott and tags herself back in! Lighting Peyton up with kicks, putting her in the corner, step-up stomp to the back of the head... NOPE! Ruby back in, tags made, Deja Vu... LIV MORGAN MAKES THE SAVE!
Looking for it again on Liv, she blocks, Oblivion on Royce but Kay rolls her up for two! Tag to Riott, Arm wringer, Codebreaker sets her up...
Riott Squad win by pinfall with the Riott Kick from Ruby Riott on Billie Kay.
The panel interviews the Riott Squad about their win and they celebrate finally getting past their internal strife and say this is only the beginning.
More preshow business follows to close things out.
The main show begins with a video package breaking down the events since SummerSlam.

Slow to rise, Lashley still on his feet and he hits the Yokosuka Cutter... NOPE!
Sidestep the charge, Bob falls to the floor, back in, another enzuigiri finds its target and he follows it up with a diving crossbody! Kayla Braxton is hanging outside of Roman Reigns’ locker room when Paul Heyman rolls up and she asks how he squirreled his way in here.
He says his resume speaks for itself and says Roman said he’d sign the contract, so he has every reason to believe he will, but he can’t speak for him. He goes in and Kayla tries to slip in after him, but he blocks her entrance.
Keith Lee is shown working out backstage when John “Bradshaw” Layfield rolls up.
They exchange pleasantries and JBL tells him he’s got some million dollar hedge funds he can buy into. Lee says he doesn’t have those kind of resources, and Layfield says if he wins tonight, he’ll be on his way. But there’s a lot of pressure on him, and if he loses he shouldn’t feel bad, because Randy Orton is one of the greatest ever. He wishes Keith luck and moves on.
Sheamus gets an inset promo during his entrance where he says Big E is right, people have been talking about him behind his back since before New Day started, and that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been holding him back, but the truth is they’ve been propping him up, and now is his time.

On his feet, Sheamus hits a knee strike and falls into the cover... NOT ENOUGH! Dragging himself up, waiting for E but he gets under the Brogue Kick... POWERBOMB! Up on his shoulders...
Big E wins by pinfall with the Big Ending.
Backstage, Matt Riddle is interviewed.
He says he’s always motivated and Baron Corbin’s harshing his vibe, but he’s done and over with it, and tonight he’s gonna take the King’s crown. Asked about Baron’s tweet about him being a failure at home, Matt gets real serious and walks off without answering.
Shayna Baszler is shadowboxing backstage right next to Nia Jax.
Jax says neither of them like each other, and she’s positive they can win if they just follow her lead. Shayna says they’ll win if Nia stays out of her way, they bicker and agree to kill the pre-match chit chat.
