United States title match official for Payback

Earlier today, WWE announced Apollo Crews would be taking on Bobby Lashley in an arm wrestling contest on Monday Night Raw this week. Instead of using that to set up a match on television, the promotion just went ahead and announced one for the next pay-per-view.

Indeed, Crews will defend the U.S. championship against Lashley at the upcoming Payback event scheduled for this Sun., Aug. 30, 2020, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

Warring with MVP for months, Crews has become the primary target of his loquacious rival’s newly formed battalion. The fast-rising champion turned aside MVP’s best at SummerSlam, but Lashley represents an entirely different challenge with his unparalleled strength.
