A week removed from a harrowing personal experience, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose stepped into WWE ThunderDome for a huge moment in each of their careers.
Their SummerSlam match was the payoff of a long, well told personal issue between the former tag partners. They were scheduled to blow off their feud with a hair vs. hair match, but perhaps because of the attempted kidnapping at Deville’s home last Sunday, their encounter on Aug. 23 was changed to a No Disqualification Loser Leaves WWE affair.
Rose, who’d tried to talk her friend out of the match on Friday’s SmackDown, actually took the most advantage of the lack of rules early.

It was Sonya who kept things in the ring, taunting her Fire & Desire partner in the midst of submissions and MMA-style striking.

A table and chair came into the action, but Deville escaped before being put through the former or being hit by the latter.

Kicks were the most prominent move in the finishing sequence, with sitout facebuster thrown in. A knee to the face sent Sonya out of the ring, and out of the company (at least for a little while).
Otis ran in to cheer up his peach, and that was that.
