We knew it was coming, but now it’s real. At the start of the SummerSlam Kickoff, Charly Caruso and Renee Young confirmed that Young is leaving the company after tonight’s PPV.
It was very low key, and very Renee - complete with a humble reaction to Caruso putting her over as a trailblazer for women in wrestling, then straight into hyping the program... while poking a little bit of fun at the silliness it:
“Guys I am so excited to be here, doing my last hurrah here with WWE, and I would be no other place than here at SummerSlam with this beautiful panel in the THUNDERDOME.”
The company’s played it pretty low key thus far as well, with only this from their social media addressing the confirmation:

Well, now we’re a little sad heading into the biggest party of the summer. But let’s focus on the good times.
You’re one of kind, Ms. Young (or should we say Good? Or Paquette? You’ll let us know), and one of the best. Thanks for the memories. We’ll miss you, and can’t wait to see what you do next. We know you’ll crush it, whatever it is.
Thank YOU, Renee. ❤️#SummerSlam @ReneeYoungWWE pic.twitter.com/KOAlGpGqqT
