NXT has put a bow around its TakeOver: XXX live event from Orlando. The black-and-gold brand wrapped up the show tonight (Sun., Aug. 22, 2020) with Karrion Kross and Scarlett, holding gold amidst flames after Kross made Keith Lee’s NXT title reign a short one.
Was the main event the best match on the card?
The show started with a more technical affair between Timothy Thatcher and Finn Bálor, before five men (and Candice LeRae) left it all out there in a bonkers North American title ladder match. Pat McAfee showed he was no Kevin Federline as he went toe-to-toe with Adam Cole, and Io Shirai retained her Women’s title in a match that allowed three other members of the division to show off, too.
