UPDATE: WWE’s made an official announcement, and while it’s not Renee and Bryan, it’s a pretty darn good team!
Beginning tomorrow morning, WWE Talking Smack will be back in the lives of the WWE Universe and available to stream anytime on the Free Version of WWE Network.
Join hosts Kayla Braxton and Xavier Woods as they welcome your favorite Superstars and react to what promises to be an exciting episode of Friday Night SmackDown as it makes its debut inside the WWE ThunderDome just two days before SummerSlam.
Don’t miss the return of Talking Smack, streaming on demand Saturday morning on the Free Version of WWE Network!
ORIGINAL: Earlier this week, word hit that WWE would be bringing back the old SmackDown after-show Talking Smack. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, that will happen starting with tonight’s edition of the blue brand.
The catch is that because SmackDown airs later on the West Coast, Talking Smack will not air immediately following the Eastern/Central time broadcast. Instead, the company will wait until Saturday to add the show to WWE Network.
The other catch is that given Renee Young’s imminent departure from WWE, Talking Smack is unlikely to have either of its original hosts. That’s among several reservations fans of the show’s initial run have about a new version, as discussed here.
While it’s not as good as vintage Talking Smack, Charly Caruso and Samoa Joe/R-Truth have turned the Monday night post-show Raw Talk into something worth watching. Hopefully whoever takes the reins of the SmackDown-equivalent does the same.
We’ll find out tomorrow, apparently. Excited?
