Who has wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-views as of July 2020?

WWE.com

14 unique performers competed in a match on the main card of Extreme Rules 2020.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at which performers have currently wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-view (PPV) events as of July 2020. The only rules are that the superstar must have wrestled for more than zero seconds on the main card of the PPV (sorry, pre-show fans), typical 24/7 title shenanigans will be ignored, and events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are omitted from this exercise.

  • 9 events - Asuka
  • 6 events - Braun Strowman
  • 4 events - Bayley, Drew McIntyre
  • 2 events - Sasha Banks, Nikki Cross
  • 1 event - Cesaro, Nakamura, Big E, Kingston, Rollins, Mysterio, Ziggler, Wyatt

And here are the streaks that ended at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules:

  • 5 events - John Morrison
  • 3 events - Bobby Lashley
  • 2 events - The Miz, Nia Jax
  • 1 event - Bliss, IIconics, Sheamus, Hardy, Edge, Orton

With only 17 wrestlers competing last month at Backlash and just 14 wrestlers this month at Extreme Rules, the list of active streaks remains relatively sparse. Only six wrestlers had a match on the main card of both of those events, including Nikki Cross. Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre are the only two male wrestlers who fought on both events.

Wrestling on consecutive pay-per-views during a global pandemic is hard, especially in the aftermath of an outbreak of COVID-19 at the WWE Performance Center. It’s that much harder when television ratings are sinking and so Vince McMahon’s solution is to push matches off of pay-per-view and onto television.

What do you think about this list of active streaks, Cagesiders? Which wrestler is most likely to fall off the list next?
