The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the SummerSlam show set to take place on Sun., Aug. 23, 2020. The show was originally to be held in Boston but the coronavirus pandemic has forced the company to change locations. No replacement venue has been named at this time.
We’re three weeks away from showtime and two matches are official for the show:
- Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton (WWE championship)
Orton decided he wants to come after the WWE title once more, and McIntyre is the current champion who has been saying he’ll fight anyone who is deserving of a chance. Orton fits the bill.
- The Street Profits vs. Andrade & Angel Garza (Raw tag team championship)
Andrade & Garza have lost very recently to the champions but they won a triple threat on Monday Night Raw last week to earn them this match.
It’s looking likely Bray Wyatt will again challenge Braun Strowman for the Universal championship.
