Not only will Renee Young not be hosting a new Talking Smack, it seems she’s wrapping up doing anything for WWE.
According to PWInsider, one of the best non-wrestling performers WWE’s ever had gave notice a week ago and will soon be leaving the company. The site says they’ve confirmed the report with multiple sources, but has not received a response to a request for comment from WWE itself.
Young (real name Renee Good) performed in just about every role she could since joining WWE from Canada’s Score Television Network in 2012, from Total Divas to the first-ever female member of the Raw commentary team.
Her husband Jon Moxley is contracted to All Elite Wrestling, where he’s currently their World champion. Speculation will obviously include AEW as a next stop, but Renee also has plenty of options. ESPN’s expressed interest in the past, she has contacts with Fox Sports from hosting WWE Backstage on FS1, has had her own podcast, recently wrote a cookbook, and more.
We’ll obviously be updating this story, and even more obviously wish Young the best in whatever comes next.
