Brian Myers (fka Curt Hawkins) made a splash for his in-ring return to Impact by challenging Eddie Edwards for the World Championship last week. Myers came up short, but he’s making news again by throwing shade at Vince McMahon during a backstage promo on Impact TV.
Myers is running with the persona of being the most professional wrestler. After the defeat last week, Myers lost his cool a little.

That frustration carried over to this week. Myers promised to set our screens on fire, and that he did. Myers hijacked a backstage interview with Willie Mack. Myers took the camera crew for an impromptu Q&A with Jimmy Jacobs.
Being a good hand in the business got Myers fired with a pregnant wife at home. He’s disgusted that an out-of-touch 70-year-old man is the one making major decisions for this business. Myers is going to take control of his career in Impact. Myers didn’t name names, but we all know he is referring to Vince McMahon.

This was actually a smart attitude reboot for Myers. By taking matters into his own hands, Myers may be able to shed his jobber stigma as Hawkins. We’ll soon find out how effective Myers can be in the ring. He wrestles Mack next week on Impact Wrestling.
Myers wasn’t the only one to voice displeasure with former employers. Eric Young is focused on chasing Eddie Edwards and the World Championship. He had a video package where part of his promo could be interpreted as unhappiness with his time at WWE. “I won’t be told that I’m not good enough. I won’t be pushed aside. I won’t swept under the rug. I won’t be ignored. I will be the first choice. I will be the second choice. It’s going to take a lot more than two years of nonexistence for me to not get what I want.”
"I was elite before being elite was cool."

The @TheEricYoung we see today is him in his purest form. #Emergence #IMPACTonAXSTV pic.twitter.com/aPuph70PuU
At least those two are signed to Impact. Poor Heath is still out there as a free agent. He used his own money to buy commercial time for the second week in a row. Make #Heath4IMPACT trend, so he can be in Impact. Do it for Rhino and Heath’s kids.
"Joe Biden, you wanna pick your running mate on a Tuesday. Man nothing happens on Tuesday but IMPACT Wrestling. And what should have been trending was #Heath4IMPACT!" #Emergence #IMPACTonAXSTV @HEATHXXII pic.twitter.com/WGeDjIorVK

Did that little barb from Brian Myers about Vince McMahon make you more interested in his Impact career? Or is taking jabs at WWE played out?
