This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was up against the Democratic National Convention, not to mention the NBA Playoffs. Naturally, the show was down slightly in viewers.
The show drew 1.64 million viewers, though it was up slightly in key demographics.
The hourly breakdown shows just how hard the show was hit by the DNC:
Hour one: 1.73 million
Hour two: 1.70 million
Hour three: 1.50 million
It doesn’t help matters that WWE isn’t offering all that compelling a product right now. When put up against more interesting or relevant options, WWE is always going to bring up the rear.
Let’s hope that changes soon. The company believes getting out of the Performance Center will help matters, and we’ll see if that’s the case in the weeks ahead.
