WWE has released its preview for Friday Night SmackDown this week and the promotion is promising four segments:
- Braun Strowman confronts Bray Wyatt
Strowman technically returned to television last week via video to challenge Wyatt to a match at SummerSlam. It seemed to be the start of a new character direction for the big man, and we’ll likely learn more about that here. A title match between the two has since gone official for the event on Aug. 23.
- Triple Brand Battle Royal
This was already announced. The winner will receive a shot at the SmackDown women’s championship at SummerSlam. No word on participants just yet.
- Alexa Bliss will be interviewed
She was attacked by Wyatt, then stopped another attack by simply touching his face. Naturally, there are questions to be asked and answered.
- Big E vs. John Morrison
E’s singles career continues with a match against Morrison, one WWE is calling the “latest step in his quest towards a title.”
