WWE filmed the episode of Raw we’ll see on July 6 a couple days ago along with next Monday’s.
We don’t get a full sets of spoilers for these pre-taped shows at the Performance Center the way we would if there were fans in the seats at a real arena. But a few things have slipped out ahead of time during the pandemic era. And for tonight’s Raw, we’ve got a couple.
- WrestleVotes says the re-designed United States title will finally be unveiled. Rumors about a new look for the red, white, and blue strap have been going around since late last year. What better time for WWE to debut it than the post-Independence Day edition of their flagship show? Current champion Apollo Crews is feuding with Montel Vontavious Porter & Bobby Lashley, with two-time champ MVP pinning Crews last week before Lashley trapped him in his full nelson.
- Heath Slater will appear on Raw tonight, according to PWInsider. Slater was released as part of WWE’s profit-ensuring coronavirus cutbacks in April, but he’s still under contract until his non-compete expires on July 15. Slater (real name Heath Miller), Impact Wrestling, and the rumor mill all have indicated the veteran is headed to the former TNA. But who knows? For now, Heath once worked a gimmick with legends... maybe he’ll get taken out by a Legend Killer?
