Way back when WWE was doing the Mixed Match Challenge, Braun Strowman ended up teaming with Alexa Bliss. The two had something of a love interest going, but WWE never really took it anywhere beyond that show, only making passing references to it here and there.
At Extreme Rules, Bliss was used against Strowman in his SWAMP FIGHT against Bray Wyatt. It was a clever little throwback to his crush, and an easy way to distract him and ultimately allow for Wyatt to ... win? We still don’t actually know what the hell happened down at that swamp, and we haven’t seen Strowman since.
That’s a problem too, because he’s still Universal champion and Wyatt made clear on Friday Night SmackDown this week that he no one is safe until “he” gets what he wants.
That would presumably explain The Fiend attacking Bliss to close out this week’s episode. How else is he going to draw Braun out from the swamp?
