Triple H’s black-and-gold brand closed the gap against AEW Dynamite on July 29. The ratings gains weren’t much, but NXT cut the overall viewership difference down to 66K.
This week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has the quarter hour audience numbers for Dynamite and NXT. They show that while WWE never won under 50 year olds (what can you do against a bunch of shiny new toys, right Vince?), they started with a nice lead in total audience. By 8:30 p.m. Eastern, it was gone.
NCIS hold overs? Did folks tune in for the women’s tag, or decide to tune out during it? Matt Cardona just too much to overcome?
Take a look for yourself and let us know what you think. The first number is total viewers; the number in parenthesis is 18 - 49 year olds. We’ve italicized the “winner” in each.
