WWE releases emotional Kairi Sane farewell video

After three years with WWE, Kairi Sane said goodbye after last week’s Raw taping. Her final on-screen angle aired this past Monday, and Sane, the company & the wrestling world have been saying goodbye ever since.

The latest thank you & farewell is the video embedded above. Released this morning (Weds., July 29) it chronicles Kairi’s accomplishments while with WWE, but more focuses on her relationships with fellow Japanese Superstars Shinsuke Nakamura, Akira Tozawa, and of course Asuka. Too bad they didn’t get some comments from NXT’s Io Shirai, or other non-Japanese friends she’s made since 2017. But it’s still a great video, and a definite tearjerker.

It does end on a happy note. The Pirate Princess is off to her next voyage, which will involve being a newlywed in her home country. And the way WWE’s sending her off, it’s clear they hope to stay in the Kairi Sane business, making it very likely this is just “goodbye for now”.
